Per-minute billing punishes you on your busiest nights
Most answering services bill by the minute or the call. That looks cheap on a calm month. The trouble is that trade calls aren't calm: one freeze, one storm or one holiday weekend can double your call volume, and your bill doubles with it. That happens in exactly the weeks you can't afford to switch the service off.
Every Chloe plan is a flat monthly number with a generous included-call allowance. A busy night doesn't change your monthly price — the bill only moves if calls run past your plan's allowance, and then it's a flat $1.91 per call, not a per-minute meter.
What your $497 setup covers
- Your dedicated Chloe line
- Your greeting, with your shop's name
- Help turning on call forwarding from your existing number
- Choosing which phones get the job texts
What every plan includes
- Answering every forwarded call in about 15 seconds
- Name, callback, address, problem and urgency on every call
- Emergency triage for gas smells and active flooding
- A text summary within seconds of each call
- Included calls: Standard 150 · Pro 250 · Elite 400
Is it worth it?
Use the calculator below with your own numbers. For most shops the question isn't whether $297 is a lot. It's how many after-hours jobs a month it takes to cover it. If your average emergency ticket is over $297, one saved job a month does it.

What calls past your plan cost
Past your included calls it's a flat $1.91 per call, billed on your next cycle. No per-minute meter: a 30-second call and a 30-minute call are each one call. Nothing else on the bill moves — no weekend rates, no holiday surcharge, no per-text charge to you.
| Plan | Volume that month | Past the plan | Overage cost | What the month costs total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard (150 included) | 180 calls that month | 30 over × $1.91 | $57.30 overage | Month total $354.30 |
| Pro (250 included) | 310 calls that month | 60 over × $1.91 | $114.60 overage | Month total $611.60 |
| Elite (400 included) | 460 calls that month | 60 over × $1.91 | $114.60 overage | Month total $911.60 |
These are examples, not your bill. You'll see your call count on the usage summary with your invoice, and you can step your plan up anytime — the bigger allowance takes over and the $1.91/call only ever applies past it.

The whole price list fits in one table

Pricing FAQ
How much does Chloe cost?
Plans start at $297/mo (Standard: 150 after-hours calls included) plus a $497 one-time setup. Pro is $497/mo (250 calls, crew-wide job texts + booking relay built in) and Elite is $797/mo (400 calls + invoicing & card collection built in). Your first month's monthly fee is free.
Why is there a setup fee?
Setup covers building your Chloe line, your greeting with your shop's name, and getting your call forwarding working — on any plan.
Do you charge per minute or per call?
No per-minute billing. Every plan is a flat monthly price with its own included call allowance. Only calls past your plan's allowance bill, at a flat $1.91 per call.
Which plan should I pick?
Start with Standard — up to 150 after-hours calls a month covers most shops. If your nights run hotter (storm season, commercial work), Pro or Elite keep bigger volumes inside the flat price.
What happens if I get more calls than my plan?
The meter doesn't run per-minute. Calls past your plan's included calls are a flat $1.91 each, billed on your next cycle. Example: 180 after-hours calls on Standard (150 included) means 30 × $1.91 = $57.30 of overage for the month — and two hot months in a row is your cue to step the plan up.
Do you need a card at signup?
Yes. We take a card at signup. Your first month's monthly fee is free.
Is there a contract?
No. There's no long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime.
Is the price the same for plumbing, HVAC and heating oil?
Yes. Same plans and prices whatever your trade.
